Is my studio profitable? The cash balance is not enough.
Knowing whether your studio is profitable starts with separating money collected from money earned. If you have sold packs you have not taught yet, some of your cash is not yours yet. Mesana shows cash collected and the value of classes already taught side by side.

Is my studio profitable with classes still owed?
Collecting payment for a cycle in advance does not mean all its classes have been taught. The value of classes already taught is calculated from the attendance count. Mesana states what the calculation covers: sales not yet used do not count as earned.
Track the studio’s income and expenses
Revenue is calculated automatically. You enter costs, with optional monthly repetition. Margin comes from the value of classes already taught minus costs for the period, rather than subtracting costs from all the cash received.
What a studio earns, by month and course
Check the current month, compare months and review revenue by course or time slot. Cash stays visible separately. You can read the margin without confusing a month with many packs sold with a month of classes already taught.
Questions about this feature
Are collected and earned money the same?
No. Collected means money received. For packs and cycles, the value of classes already taught corresponds to classes used, with the calculation’s coverage stated.
Do I have to enter revenue manually?
No. Revenue is calculated automatically. You enter costs and they can repeat each month.
How is margin calculated?
From the value of classes already taught minus costs for the period. Cash is shown separately; unused sales do not count as earned.
Can I compare months and see revenue by course?
Yes. You can check the current month, compare months and see revenue by course or time slot.
