What counts as an active student
In a given month a student counts as active if they have an active enrolment, a pass with credits remaining, a booking in the current month, or at least one paid purchase in the current month, including retail purchases. Demo accounts and archived students do not count. Someone who is only in your contact list does not count either. The counter sits in your dashboard with this definition next to it.
You grow, the plan grows. At 80% of the limit we tell you; if you cross it you get a month’s grace and you confirm the plan change yourself with one click. A working studio is never locked.

What people ask before deciding.
Do I need a card to try it?
No. The trial lasts 14 days with no card. Signup may require an invitation code. You can explore the demo without signing up.
Do you take a cut of my students’ payments?
Mesana takes no commission on your payments. Stripe is optional: connect it for online payments to your account, subject to Stripe fees. You can also collect payment in the studio.
What if I grow past my plan’s limit?
There is no automatic upgrade and no lockout. At 80% of the limit we tell you, and if you cross it you get a month’s grace to confirm the change with one click. If you don’t confirm, the only thing you can’t do is add students above the limit: calendar, bookings and till keep working.
