Each level has its group for the term
Your dance school runs courses by level, with students returning to the same group. Mesana reserves each student’s place throughout the cycle and tracks absences, make-ups and remaining classes automatically. You don’t have to add them class by class.
Dance academy software with make-ups in another group
If someone misses a class, you mark the absence. Agree on a make-up group that suits their level and link the make-up to the missed class. The balance updates; you decide which group is right, Mesana doesn’t decide the student’s level.
The term course and the pack for single classes
Courses with enrolment and single or class-pack sessions share the same calendar. Enrolment reserves the place throughout the cycle; the class pack tracks remaining classes. You can manage both without separate student lists.
You know what you’ve collected. Mesana tells you what you’ve earned.
The term fee arrives before you’ve taught all the classes. Mesana shows money collected separately from the value of classes already taught. You add costs such as rent and materials; the margin is calculated from classes taught minus costs. If you’ve sold class packs you haven’t taught yet, part of the cash in your till isn’t yours yet.
What we don’t do
Mesana doesn’t manage grades or report cards, or have a dedicated record system for minors and families. It tracks students, groups and finances; it doesn’t assess dance levels or replace your school’s academic administration.

Questions from your dance school
Does each student keep their place throughout the term?
Yes. Enrolment reserves their place in every future session of their group’s cycle. You organise courses by level and mark who attended.
Can a student make up a class in another dance group?
Yes. You can link a make-up in another group to the missed class. You choose a group that suits their level; Mesana recalculates remaining classes.
Can term students and class-pack students attend alongside each other?
Yes. You can manage courses with enrolment and open single or class-pack sessions in the same calendar. The cycle place and remaining class-pack sessions are tracked separately.
Does the term fee collected count as earnings?
Mesana separates money collected from the value of classes already taught. The margin is calculated from those classes minus the costs you enter, without treating pending classes as already taught.
