Mesana reserves each student’s place throughout the course cycle and keeps track of absences, make-ups and remaining classes automatically. You mark who attended; the count updates.
Course cycles and drop-in classes together
The same calendar holds courses with enrolment and open sessions for single classes or class packs. You do not need two separate programs.
You know what you collected. Mesana tells you what you earned.
Class packs sold are not the same as wheel classes already taught. If you have sold packs you have not taught yet, part of your cash is not yours yet. Mesana shows cash collected alongside the value of classes taught. You add costs such as materials, glazes and rent; margin is calculated from classes taught minus costs, rather than all the cash coming in.

Courses, class packs and single classes, plus a free-form line for everything else: glazes, materials and table rental. The daily cash total includes all those sales.
What we don’t do
We don’t track your pieces through the kiln. Mesana does not follow each piece from greenware to bisque to glazed. It keeps track of students, slots and finances; it is not a piece-tracking tool.

Questions about your workshop
Does each student have a place in every wheel class?
Yes. Enrolment reserves their place in every future session of the course cycle, without booking them class by class.
What happens when someone misses a class and makes it up in another slot?
The make-up is linked to the missed class and the remaining classes are recalculated. You do not have to rebuild the balance in a spreadsheet. If a class was already a make-up, Mesana warns you and you decide whether to allow another.
How do I separate packs sold from what the studio has earned?
Mesana shows cash collected and the value of classes already taught separately. You enter materials and rent as costs; margin starts from classes taught, rather than packs still to be taught.
Can I track each student’s pieces?
No. Mesana does not track pieces or kiln firings. It focuses on the studio’s classes and finances.
