Music school management software that tracks make-ups
If a student misses an instrument lesson, you mark the absence. When they make it up, the make-up is linked to the missed lesson and the balance updates. You decide when and where they make it up; you don’t have to reconstruct their lessons in a spreadsheet.
Course fees and class packs
Keep course fees, class packs and single lessons in one place. Enrolment keeps the student’s place in the cycle; the class pack tracks their remaining lessons. You don’t need a separate list for each way of paying.
You know what you’ve collected. Mesana tells you what you’ve earned.
Collecting a course fee upfront doesn’t mean you’ve taught all its lessons. Mesana separates money collected from the value of lessons already taught. You add school costs, such as rent and materials; the margin is calculated from lessons taught minus costs. If you’ve sold class packs you haven’t taught yet, part of the cash in your till isn’t yours yet.
What we don’t do
Mesana doesn’t manage grades or report cards. It also has no dedicated record system for minors and families. It tracks students, lessons and finances; it doesn’t replace your school’s academic administration.

Questions from your music school
Does it work for weekly individual instrument lessons?
Yes. You can create a recurring time slot with one place and enrol the student in the cycle. Their place is reserved in every future lesson without adding them each week.
How do I track a music lesson a student has missed?
Mark the absence and link the make-up to that lesson. Remaining lessons are recalculated. You agree on the make-up time slot; Mesana doesn’t automatically change the student’s schedule.
Can I manage courses with fees and class packs together?
Yes. Courses with enrolment and single or class-pack lessons share the same calendar. You can check payments and remaining lessons without keeping separate lists.
Does it include grades, report cards or records for families?
No. Mesana doesn’t manage grades or report cards, or offer dedicated records for minors and families. It focuses on lessons, attendance, make-ups and finances.
